Beans!

My absolute favorite plant-based food is beans. Dried beans are so cheap, and so easy to rehydrate and cook that it's downright ridiculous not to cook with them. For a frugal person, it's essential! and healthy :)

Sprout your beans to make them more agreeable. Soak for 12 hours, rinse, keep moist and re-rinse every 12 hours or so until sprouts start to form. Google it :-)

I am looking for a recipe for humus made with sprouted beans. Do I use dry or canned?

For hummus with sprouted beans you would need to use dried. Canned beans won't sprout because they've already been cooked or par cooked.
